The Hunger Games Review
TOP TEN MOVIES OF 2011
I had to do this sooner or later so here it is. I didn’t see all the moves of 2011 so don’t be like “Why isn’t this on there? Why isn’t that on there? Why are you avoiding my calls?!”
So here goes my Top Ten starting with:
10. Limitless

What makes this movie so great is that it appeals to everyone. Bradley Cooper takes a pill and he like quadruples his IQ and becomes super rich in like 4 days. The performances are great. And it made Abbie Cornish one of my favorite actresses too. Cause you know… Her acting abilities. And stuff.

Her asscting I mean acting.
09. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

This is a summer movie given to us in the fall. Great set pieces and great action scenes that go with them. And you know Simon Pegg being awesome at everything like always
08. The Descendants

Poor old George Clooney. We gotta be so sad for poor old silver fox. Oh wait watch this movie and yeah. You do feel bad. But The Silver Fox is great in this movie. He deserves all the awards. And his daughter played by Shailene Woodley is incredible.
07. The Ides of March

Handsome overload. HANDSOME OVERLOAD! My current man-crush Ryan Gosling just kills it in this movie. And Paul Giamatti and Phillp Not-Penguin Seymour Hoffman are pimps in the acting game. And the Clooney is really goddamn good at directing and writing.
06. Horrible Bosses

I look at the other comedies this year and this is one of the best. It’s like a modern day Three Stooges movie. And it’s a quick watch and I can watch it over and over again.
And making the greatest segway into the Top 5 ever is:
5. FAST FIVE

This is the dumbest, most stupidest movie I have ever seen. And it’s AWWWWWESEOME! I loved the action. It’s that turn off your brain and enjoy kind. And Dwayne Johnson fits in perfectly into the series. And You know Gal Gadot.
04. RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

The chimppocalypse is here. And it’s badass. This is the best performance by an actor this year. Andy Serkis as Caesar.
03. MIDNIGHT IN PARIS

Good ol’ Woody is back. This movie is just… lovely. It’s his best work (Granted I’ve only seen this and Vicky Christina Barcelona). This is just one of the best “See this for the performances” movie ever.
02. DRIVE

Dude. Dude Dude Dude Dude Dude… Duuude. Dude did you see that guy’s head. Or lack there of. Ryan Gosling’s best movie. His performace or just staring at the person in front of him saying nothing, is great. And All your side characters. Albert Brooks, Ron Peralman, Bryan Crantson, the most beautiful woman in the world Christina Hendricks.

She’s married to friggin Snozeberries taste like Snozeberries guy. Come on!
And for number one have the chorus of Patty Smyth’s The Warrior playing for this one:
01. WARRIOR

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! This movie made Training Day my fourth favorite movie. It was third. Now it’s fourth. So that makes The Departed fifth and Inception sixth. I’m gonna let that sink for a minute. This movie, pushed Inception out of my Top 5 favorite movies of all time.
Tom Hardy is amazing in this. You have doubts about him as Bane, (I’m looking at you Dan), watch Bronson and this and those feelings will be gone. And Nick Nolte giving us the man cry of the century. Great acting all around, some Bad-ASS fight scenes, and you know, making grown men cry. What’s not to love about this?
I so want a Taylor Swift talk show now.
